Terms of Business

All bookings made in respect of training are accepted by abv Training Ltd on the following terms and conditions:

 

TERMS OF BUSINESS

 

Bookings

 

Bookings are subject to availability. Courses may be undertaken using portable equipment such as laptop computers and may well be in rented accommodation such as a hotel conference room or similar.

 

Payment terms

 

Payment must be received in cleared funds at least 5 working days before the start of a course or within 21 days of invoice date for account customers.

Cancellations, transfers and non-attendance

 

All cancellations, requests to transfer, and delegate substitutions must be made in writing to abv Training Ltd by email (succeedwithus@abvtraining.co.uk), letter or fax to 01785 826599. abv Training Ltd reserves the right to cancel a training course due to circumstances beyond its control, eg. Illness of trainer, and offer an alternative date/venue or a full refund without any liability for consequential or indirect loss.

 

Certificates (BIIAB)

 

Once received from BIIAB, certificates are dispatched to successful candidates via First Class mail. Duplicate certificates can be obtained from us at a cost of £25.00 (to be paid by the candidate)

 

Language

 

All courses and events are delivered solely in the English language and delegates are advised to be sufficiently proficient with the English language before attending a course.

 

Special Learning Needs

 

Provision will be made for candidates with special learning/assessment needs, ie. Dyslexia, if at least 10 working days notice is received by abv Training Ltd.

 

Liability

 

To the extent permitted by law, neither abv Training Ltd nor its trainers will be liable by reason of breach of contract, negligence or otherwise for any loss or consequential loss occasioned to any persons acting, omitting to act or refraining from acting in reliance upon the course material or presentation of the course.

 

Consequential loss shall be deemed to include, but is not limited to, any loss of profits or anticipated profits, damage to reputation or goodwill, loss of business, damages, costs, expenses incurred or payable to any third party or any other indirect or consequential losses.

 

BIIAB Accredited training Courses

 

Training materials will not be dispatched or bookings confirmed until full payment has been received by abv Training Ltd. Payment indicates our Terms of Business.

 

Course fees:

 

Course fees are inclusive of tuition, the cost of training materials and books supplied by abv Training Ltd, examination fees and the use of any facilities booked for the purpose of training.

 

Cancellations:

  • Cancellations notified 48 or more hours before the start of a course will be refunded less any costs incurred.
  • If written notice is received less than 48 hours before the start of a course, the fee will be credited less a £75 administration charge in addition to any costs incurred by abv Training Ltd which cannot be recovered.
  • If a delegate fails to attend a course, there will be NO refund, however the candidate will be able to book on a future course at the discounted rate of £75.

Transfers:

  • A delegate may transfer to another training course (subject to availability) with at least 48 hours notice.

Delegate substitution:

  • Delegate substitutions are allowable with no charge providing any resources and course information already provided is forwarded to the new delegate.

BIIAB TRAINING ON A CUSTOMER'S PREMISES

 

Where training is delivered on a customer's premises, all responsibility for facilities, refreshments rests with the customer. In the event that the training facilities or any required audio-visual aids are unavailable, any subsequent consequential expenses for provision of alternative facilities or AV equipment shall be borne by the customer.

 

Cancellation:

  • The customer will be responsible for paying any and all charges from a booking including any cancellation charges. If written notice is received less than 10 working days before the start of a course, an administration charge of £150 + VAT will be made in addition to any costs incurred by abv Training Ltd which cannot be recovered.

Training Materials

  • All copyright and ownership of the material provided by abv Training Ltd remain the property of abv Training Ltd and must not be reproduced, copied or given to any other person, or company other than to your employees.
