abv training - leading the way to exceptional service

The abv Training office team

abv Training was established in September 2001 and operates from a head office base in Stone, Staffordshire. This location ideally positions the team to tackle business and expand throughout England, Wales and Scotland. Ambitions are high with the Directors confident that abv Training will be the leaders in not only personal licence training but the complete package of hospitality training throughout the UK.

Managing Director, David Hawbrook has over 30 years experience in the hospitality industry and does not accept second best - consistent quality, innovation and bags of enthusiasm are demanded from all those working to deliver exceptional service to their clients.

abv Training offer National Qualifications from four awarding bodies - The BIIAB, HABC, Maybo and the Chartered Institute for Environmental Health.

These qualifications including personal licensing courses such as the APLH & SCPLH.

In addition to tutor led programmes, we offer a range of high quality e-learning courses that provide great value induction training.

Working in partnership with the Charnwood Training Group, we deliver the Apprenticeships in Licensed Hospitality at level 2 and 3.  These fantastic opportunities attract funding and we urge any business serious about developing their staff to consider them.

The team also designs and delivers programmes to suit learning and budgetary needs. Including programmes for managers, supervisors and front line team members. Team Induction programmes and Development Workbooks have also been written for a number of organisations.

We are proud to work for many of the UK's leading operators in pubs, hotels and leisure.

Whilst the hospitality industry is a specialism, other businesses that require people to deliver exceptional service are recommended to give abv Training a call!

(sad but true,  but because they are so naff someone has to laugh)
  • What is your Favourite drink? The politically correct and probably boring answer is tea, I drink lots of it - particularly Earl Grey. The trouble is, a lovely cool pint of lager or a  glass of white wine go down equally well (but not in the same quantites I might add).

  • What makes the delegate from hell? Please see answer to what makes the perfect delegate.

However we do have to cater for the younger men in the family and we have to include water parks, theme parks, quad bikes, karting, golf, zorbing, camel rides (the wife loves a kiss) etc, you name it we have to try it.  I just have to try and grin and bear it!!  Rome is fantastic- so much to see. Venice again is fantastic.  What a question though, there is so much to see in this country as well.
  • What is your best film of all time? The pink panther films with Peter Sellers.
